1. Disclaimer
1.1 These rules may change at anytime.
1.2 ASSCAR reserves the right to reject or eject any member at anytime for any reason. As long as you do not cause problems to anyone running in the league or anyone in general you should not have any problems. This is a private league, Not Public. It is basically an invite only. It is not your right to race in the ASSCAR, it is a privilege.
1.3 We will not receive letters complaining about the rules. This league is set up the best we can get it. If you have problems with other drivers and the rules then it may be a good idea to go somewhere else.
1.4 This league is run for fun. Not for headaches. If you are not having fun, don't race. Fun is what this is all about.
1.5 Most importantly have fun and be nice. We will listen to the drivers the very best we can and make this the best league there is. We will try and make everything as clear as possible. If you know the rules you should know what to expect and what is expected of you.
1.6 The ASSCAR's goal is to bring everyone together in the most fun and friendly place to race anywhere. We try to keep things as realistic as we can while in the same sense keep it just a game. We want everyone to be a part of the ASSCAR family. We want this to be fun for everyone....the owner/owners, the board of Directors, the drivers, EVERYONE! The main thing in this league is to have fun.
1.7 ASSCAR is run by majority rule.
1.8 We will always use the latest software. This includes any new updates, patches, modifications, or releases that become available.

3.7 Any derogatory remarks made from one driver to another driver while racing, in personal e-mail, in any forum that can be read by the public that is NOT an ASSCAR forum, or in any chat, will be warned, put on probation, or outright eliminated from this league. This includes thanking another driver for an incident. Sure you may ask what happened but not during the race. When you know you made a mistake you may apologize at anytime. If a driver apologizes for an incident the bad feelings should stop there.
3.8 Do not test us! You will lose!
3.9 We will be accepting applications from a wide variety of drivers. If you do not like racing guys you don’t know or are not willing to help a fledgling driver along please do not enter this league. There are always practice races and practices being put up on the server on the weekends. Check in on Team Speak to see if some one has one setup or if some can set one up.
4.9 Any member of the ASSCAR may participate in the Truck series, Late Model Series. As far as for the other divisions you will participate only in your division.
5. Championship Points
5.1 ASSCAR will use the same point system as NASCAR.
5.2 The winner of each ASSCAR race receives 180 points. The runner-up in each event scores 170. From there, the point total declines in five-point increments for places two through six, points awarded drop four points per driver for positions seven through 11 and three-point increments separate drivers' points for finishers in 12th place or lower.
5.3 There are also bonus points up for grabs at each event. Drivers receive five points for leading a lap and an additional five points for leading the most laps.
5.4 In ASSCAR racing, following the 26th race of the season, all drivers in the Top 12 will earn a berth in the "Chase for the Championship."
5.5 All drivers in the "chase" will have their point totals adjusted. The first-place driver in the standings will begin the chase with 5,050 points; the second-place driver will start with 5,045, etc. Incremental five-point drops will continue through the list of title contenders.
6. Provisional Points
6.1 Each driver is entitled to provisional points without showing up on the server. Meaning that each driver may miss races in thier division and still receive points. This will change if it is abused.
6.2 Provisional Points will be 55 (last place) points to the driver for a provisional.
6.3 To receive a provisional the driver must give there division administrator at least 24 hours notice of absence unless an emergency and of course we understand.
6.4 If you join the server and can start the race you will receive last place points.
7. Driver ID and Car File Information
7.1 In official race meetings on Team Speak each person must use there real name as there user ID. It can be any variation you want as long as we can tell who you are. (Ex. K_Ross_16). Please try and use you full last name though.
7.2 In the game you must use your full first name and full last name. Make sure this is set prior to entering the server.
7.3 You are the only person allowed to race under your name. If someone races for you, you will be suspended for the rest of the season. You are the person who signed up. If you don't want to race don't show up.
7.4 Car file names must contain your car number assigned you by the ASSCAR, the first letter of your first name in caps, and your complete last name with the first letter in caps. This format is not to be altered in any way what so ever unless prior coordinated and approved. (Ex. 16_K_Ross.cup.car)
7.5 Only Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, and Toyota are allowed in the ASSCAR Car divisions. This is to include paintjobs. You can’t have a car with any other make on it.
7.6 All paint jobs are stored at http://asscaronline.com . It is the driver’s responsibility to have the correct car and correct car number. Every driver must have a car on file at http://asscaronline.com and it should be able to be seen in the game with the correct number.
7.7 If you start a race and the race administrators can not see your car there will be a warning the first time, the second time and every time there after you will be ejected if you attempt to race. This does not include if you get disconnected. Your car is important. Drivers usually decide on what to do on the track based on who is around them.
7.8 Cars are to be sent to Kevin Ross @ This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
8. Before You Log On
8.1 Make sure you have the correct car file name.
8.2 Make sure you have your name correct.
8.3 The following auto chat message texts are preferred (they are in your auto chat.txt file)
"PITTING (driver name)" or something very close
"EXITING (driver name)" or something very close
"Pass (driver name) low" or something very close
8.4 Everyone is required to use "PITTING (Driver name)" or something very close when pitting under the green flag. Use this message when on the backstretch (front if you pit in the back).
8.5 None of this ***** WARNING JOHN SMITH IS ENTERING THE PITS WARNING******
8.6 Please allow yourself extra time to connect to the server in case of a heavy use night or if new software need to be downloaded.
8.7 We will not restart the server should you forget any of the above prior to signing on to the server.
9. Qualifying
9.1 You MUST post a qualifying speed. It does not matter what the time, as long as there is a time posted. Failure to post a time for a race will result in ejection from that race.
10. Yellows/Restarts/Pitting
10.1 If a yellow comes out and the race goes green again with less then 10 laps to go, lapped cars must run through the pits and line up behind the cars on the lead lap. We will allow the lead lap cars to battle for the win with 10 laps or less to go.
10.2 You may not jump the car in front of you on a start. You must match the cars speed in front of you as you are crossing the start finish line. Racing starts after you cross the line under normal conditions. The only exception is if the car in front of you wheel spins on the start or loses control. You may also pass cars that have lost gears.
10.3 If you blow a gear you must notify the field on every restart there after. You must stay close to the car in front of you on the restart and you must pull to the left on the start leaving a car width or more to your right side so cars behind you can do a normal start. Failure to do so may result in a fine and/or probation and/or disqualification. Drivers behind said car may not jump start the car to the right and the speed must be matched with the car with the gear problem when the green flag drops. Failure to do so may result in a fine and/or probation and/or disqualification.
10.4 On yellow flag pit stops you may not pull up next to the car in front of you before you cross the entry line going into the pits. You must stay behind them until you come to the line that is the start of pit road.
10.5 If you decide not to pit and stay out on the track while others pit you MUST immediately speed up and fall in behind the pace car. Pass the cars that are pitting even if you are getting the stay behind message. It will clear as they enter the pits. Failure to do so and causing someone a black flag because you didn't follow this rule may result in a fine. If you are pitting it is also your job to be aware of the cars on the track and not pass them.
11. Luck Dog
11.1 In order for any driver that is scored the Lucky Dog driver they must follow procedure or they will forfeit the
11.1 In order for any driver that is scored the Lucky Dog driver they must follow procedure or they will forfeit the free lap.
11.2 The Lucky Dog driver is the 1st car scored 1 lap down at the time of yellow. If no car is 1 lap down then it goes to the next person 2 down, etc.
11.3 The driver that gets the Lucky Dog Free pass should Pit the 1st time by pit lane and pit with the lead lap cars.
11.4 The game will automatically give you an End of the longest line penalty for entering a closed pit lane. But that is what we want since you must restart at the rear anyhow.
11.5 Any one not understand just ask please.
11.6 Lucky dog is not allowed to pull to the inside lane of lead lap cars and must restart at the tail of the lead lap cars.
11.7 Once the green flag is waved on the restart the race admin will score the lap for you and you will have your lap added.
11.8 If you do not follow this procedure you will forfeit the free pass and have to try again.
11.9 If confused on what to do, please ask race admin under yellow.
12. Race and Post Race
12.1 At any super speedway race there will be no passing below the yellow line to advance position.
12.2 Should you make a pass below the yellow line you may allow the driver you passed to pass you back before the start/finish line and you will not receive a penalty.
12.3 Once you cross the line after a race you must slow down as if it were a caution. It's called a cool down lap to get to pits.
12.4 There will be no wrecking yourself or anyone else on the cool down lap. If you want you may go to the backstretch (or first straight away of a road course) and pull out of the way and get out of the car.
12.5 We would prefer you go back to the pits to get out of the car but this is your call. If you get hit and you loose points it will be your fault.
12.6 If you wreck anyone after the race is over you will be penalized 10 points by the ASSCAR administration. If you wreck yourself that is on you.
12.7 The game may or may not give you a reckless driving penalty that will not be revoked by the ASSCAR administration.
13. Warping
13.1 We run on a great server, so if you are using broadband you should not have warping issues. If you do the following are the rules implemented.
13.2 Officials will warn you if you have slight warping issues. This is a warning to be aware and leave a little extra room on the track for side by side racing.
13.3 Officials will command you to move to the back of the field if your connection is very bad. Your goal here is to find an empty spot on the track so not to affect other racers.
13.4 You will be referred to Rule 10.4. If you are unsuccessful in rule 10.4 and staying away from other cars the ASSCAR Administrator will ask you to park your car.
13.6 Continued warping in a number of races will result in the suspension of your spot in the ASSCAR Racing League until you get your connection issues solved.
14. Chatting
14.1 When the Race Admin is talking in ALL CAPS or in Team Speak, quit all public conversation and give him the floor. You are responsible for all information given by the Race Admin.
14.2 Talking or chat during practice is permitted.
14.3 NO TALKING OR CHAT DURING QUALIFYING. Once "Qualifying complete" is shown, you may congratulate whomever you wish. ANY talking or chatting during qualifying could result in a race ejection or probation.
14.4 Talking or chatting during warm up is permitted. If you have any questions ask them now.
14.5 NO UNNECESSARY TALKING OR CHAT WITH ONE LAP TO GO UNDER CAUTION. Unnecessary talking or chat is deemed as anything not pertaining to an action you will be taking on the track. Telling a driver to pass high on a restart, or that you lost a gear is permitted. Any unnecessary chat with one to go could result in a black flag or race ejection.
14.6 NO UNNECESSARY TALKING OR CHAT DURING GREEN FLAG RACING. Unnecessary talking or chat is deemed as anything not pertaining to an action you will be taking on the track. Telling drivers when you’re pitting or exiting the pits or to pass low is an action performed on the track which is ok or even required. The only reason this type of chat is permitted is because it replaces hand signals that we do not have in the game. All other chat is unnecessary & unrealistic & results in a black flag or race ejection.
14.7 Yellow flag talking or chat is permitted up until the one lap to go signal. Excessive yellow flag talking or chat can be disruptive to some and therefore discouraged. Damaging or spinning another car while talking or chatting under yellow will result in a black flag or race ejection.
14.8 Whispering the other rooms within Team Speak without permission is strictly prohibited. You must set up your key bindings to talk to an individual and not the room itself. These situations are based upon you having permission to do so. Failure to comply could result in a black flag or race ejection.
15. Race Administrators
15.1 First of all the Race administrator makes all decisions in the race and they are final. If you argue with an admin there will be some steep consequences. You will be ejected from the race for sure and possibly put on probation, suspended or ejected from the league. These guys are here to help. They make mistakes just like you do. Don't give them a hard time for doing their job.
15.2 The admin must know every rule in this rule book and go by them.
15.3 An administration job is a decision making job. There are going to be a lot of calls an administrator has to make and you may not like it. The administrators of this league have had a lot of experience administrating. They are not out to get you. A lot of calls in the race will be an administrator judgment call and nothing in this rule book may explain it.
15.4 DO NOT ARGUE WITH AN ADMINISTRATOR.
15.5 If you talk about an administrator to another driver in a bad way you will be immediately ejected from the league for ever.
15.6 If you have a problem with a call in the race, talk to the administrator after the race in a private room in Team Speak in a civil manner.
15.7 The ASSCAR Racing League is basically a Sanctioning body. That means that ASSCAR has different divisions and they are controlled by the administrators not ASSCAR. The administrators are 100% in charge of the divisions they run. That means there maybe special rules in each division put into place by the administrator at anytime if there are problems.
15.8 If you have a problem with an administrator it may be best for you to leave the ASSCAR. But if you think it is a serious problem and not just personal problems please contact the ASSCAR Racing League at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will fix the problem.
15.9 Division administrators may hand out penalty’s to drivers of there division only. League administrators may hand out penalty’s to ANY member of the league. League administrators may also add to, reduce, or change any penalty that a division administrator may hand out.
16. Forum/Team Speak/Email
16.1 Every member of the ASSCAR is required to have an account on the ASSCAR Forums and Team Speak.
16.2 Members of the Forums and Team Speak are to use the same user name. Ex. 16_K_Ross. You must use the first letter of your first name and use your entire last name. This is so we know who each driver is.
16.3 Members should check the forums weekly. It is preferred to check it daily but weekly at a minimum.
16.4 All members must attend a pre race meeting on Team Speak prior to every ASSCAR event so that anything that needs to be discussed can be. It is also highly recommended to attend post race meetings on Team Speak also but they are not required.
16.5 Each member must have a valid email address through out the season. It is the driver’s responsibility to inform ASSCAR staff of any email address changes.
16.6 League administrators may hand out penalties to members for their actions in the ASSCAR Forums, Team Speak, or from emails of members. Division administrators may hand out penalty’s to drivers of their division for the same reason.
16.7 Team Speak is mandatory at anytime a driver or member is in the /////ASSCAR server. That is non-negotiable. http://www.goteamspeak.com
17. Future Releases of Newer Rule Book
17.1 Newer releases of this rule book will be release as new rules are added. It is the member’s responsibility to stay current with the last rule changes.
17.2 The administrators will do there best to inform all members of a newer version of the rule book or and amendments to the current rule book but it is still the member responsibility to know all current rules.
17.3 These rules and rule book are subject to change at anytime.
18. Changes
